This was all at the University of Saskatchewan, in case you are curious. :) It was a computer class with a huge design project that was supposed to be 50% of the mark, a final that was 40% and ten assignments that were worth 10%. I knew we were doing really well with the project so late in the class when time was short and there was a lot of pressure. The last assignment was huge and was going to take up a lot of time, so I just thought "It's only worth 1% of my final mark... I'd rather just skip it, and spend the time on other, more important things."

So then you know about the incomplete. So the first thing I did was contact the assistant/marker. He just told me that if I had handed in *anything*, he would've checked it and marked it as complete, even if he gave me a zero. So then I had to talk to a student counselor. They made an appointment with the Registrar's office. After I met with them, I had to get a paper signed by my professor and by the department dean. And because they are such busy people, it took *forever* to track them down. But in the end, it was all sorted out and I got credit for the class.

Oh, and I'm guessing you're wondering who I am that I'm reading your journal. *blush* Well, actually, it's [info]ellorgast's fault. I'm a huge fan of EGL style, but I've found no one around here who I can share with. And one day I ran across some pictures of someone in the style who looked amazing. And then I found out they were from Lethbridge! And while that's still pretty far away, my grandmother used to live there and I would visit when I was younger, so it was like there was someone else Lolita in the prairies! So I friended her. And through her, I found your livejournal.

I hope that's ok! I've been a lurker for a while, but when I saw your post about not handing in that assignment, I just had to say something. So... umm... Hello from Saskatchewan!
